About Jordan

When Jordan joined TimberlakeSmith as an associate in 2015, she brought not only her knowledge and experience in Family Law, but also a passion to help children and families, especially through difficult transitions and change. Jordan assists clients with a variety of legal matters, including separation, divorce, equitable distribution (property division), spousal support (alimony), child custody and visitation, child support, and adoption. She is also available to serve as a guardian ad litem for children. Regardless of the legal issue or issues, Jordan’s goal is to provide clients with an understanding of Virginia law, the court process and the options available to them. With that foundation, she is able to work collaboratively with clients to develop the best strategy for accomplishing their goals, either through settlement or litigation.
Originally from Mississippi, Jordan came to Virginia to pursue a law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law after graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. degree from Samford University in Alabama. While at W&L Law, she was president of the international legal honor society, Phi Delta Phi, and served as a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society. Jordan was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2013 and began practicing law in Charlottesville, Virginia.
W&L Law led Jordan to more than just her law degree — she met her husband in law school, and they currently reside in Staunton. They spend their free time hanging out with their dogs.
